4 day Safari and guided tour: Panorama Route and Kruger National Park

The Kruger National Park, and the but also to the third largest canyon in the world, the Blyde River Canyon, are situated in the Eastern Province of Mpumalanga (where the sun rises). The scenic Panorama Route takes you, the visitor through lush rain forests and along the dramatic escarpment of the northern Drakensberg Mountains. Countless waterfalls and rivers have etched the landscape for centuries and the many mysterious forms of the surrounding mountains are filled with myths and stories of days gone by. The wilderness of the Kruger National Park is home to Africa’s Big Five, as well as a great variety of other animals. Due to the size of the park it stretches across various biospheres and has diverse fauna and flora.  You will visit the Park, as a day visitor on an open vehicle safari and will overnight in the town of Hazyview. Your visit to the Greater Kruger Area promises to be a once in a life time experience with memories that will last forever.

Description

Day 1
Travel from Johannesburg  with your guide via Dullstroom and White River to Hazyview. Afternoon visit to the Sabie Valley Coffee Farm store for an insight into the production of coffee in South Africa and some coffee and cake. Check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure

Overnight: Numbi Hotel, Hazyview, Bed & Breakfast

Day 2
Today you explore the Panorama Route with a tour guide. Visit the 3rd largest Canyon in the world, The Blyde River Canyon, and see some of the waterfalls in the area. Take a scenic glass lift down into the Gorge and enjoy Pancakes at the iconic Harry’s Pancakes in Graskop for lunch (own account). Return to the Hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3
The early morning is the best time to view animals in Africa. Your guide will collect you early this morning, the hotel will prepare breakfast packs, so that you can make your way into the famous Kruger National Park as the gates open. Spend the day in the park in search of animals. Your guide will stop at a rest camp for lunch (own account). Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 4
After breakfast depart for Johannesburg. Arrival in Johannesburg will be mid-afternoon.
